As the Senior Principal Director of Clinical Programs OT, you will collaborate with our care team, patients/families, and TLC senior leadership to deliver high-quality, patient—and family-centered therapeutic care.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
At TLC PEDIATRIC THERAPY, we see each day as a chance to create a positive impact on our community by facilitating the future dreams of each child we treat. We lead through our values of respect, diversity, inclusivity, family and community. As a Principal Occupational Therapist, your daily work will incorporate a growth mindset and passion in messaging and modeling these core values during all interactions with team members, patients, and families. In addition to conducting screenings and evaluations, you will collaborate with our care team, patients/families, and TLC senior leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient—and family-centered therapeutic care.
ABOUT US:
TLC PEDIATRIC THERAPY has been an integral part of Los Angeles for over 20 years, and continues to prioritize community projects, task force participation, and policy development with numerous change maker organizations such as First 5 LA. The founder and CEO understands sustainable and long term goals, and her work in leading diverse groups of medical professionals, informing long term policy goals in Los Angeles, and developing models of care, continue to inform the direction of the organization across past, present, and future. “Our values keep us dedicated to using scale for good: good for our pediatric patients, good for our families, good for our highly valued Team Members, good for our community, and good for the planet” CEO, Kyra Griffith.
TLC PEDIATRIC THERAPY is proud of the physical environments which continue to evolve, in order to deliver both current and modern patient care approaches and techniques. The physical spaces at TLC Pediatric Therapy are professionally designed, modern and nature inspired - and based on feedback and observations of how providers best work and move through the treatment areas with patients and families. The two wings at the flagship center, for example, include a primary wing of 7 private treatment spaces, and a secondary wing, named “The Grand Park”, that is a field of spaces with a variety of stations and functions that allow children to move freely throughout in order to encourage movement in play, social pragmatic skills, and learn from the environment around them and their social peers/pediatric patients that may be exploring adjacent. The newer wing, “The Grand Park”, is a learning and therapeutic landscape designed to encourage peer to peer interactions by emphasizing soft divider communal areas of therapeutic equipment of swings, trampolines, slides, and more, which support creativity and togetherness. As a Principal Occupational Therapist, you would have an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing design and equipment decisions in an effort to stay ahead of the curve in novel treatment approaches and techniques.
"When I think about my position at TLC, my heart smiles. I receive thorough training and supplies I need to succeed, and I have access to leadership whenever I need it. All of my coworkers are kind, and the joyful atmosphere makes me excited to come to work. The Founder and C-Suite solution-oriented mindset ensures that TLC will remain a dynamic organization for years to come." Melanie Blanks M.A., CCC-SLP
